Fundraising

Since 2007 the Hartley Arts Group has been without a permanent rehearsal space. We now have planning permission to build a new clubhouse. This means that we will now push ahead in our search for the £250,000 that will be needed to finance the clubhouse replacement - the Drama Studio.

Governance - Charitable Status
It has been decided to change the form of the Group from an unincorporated association into a charitable company limited by Guarantee. This work is now complete. It will not affect the way HAG operates or change our objectives. It is being done to make it easier to raise funds for the Drama Studio, then to build and manage the premises. Major fundraising has been put on hold for the time being until Charity Status has been accepted.  It is planned that a fresh wave of fundraising applications will be attempted upon receiving Charitable Status.

What can I do now to help?

Charitable organisations will help but HAG must be prepared to find 50% of the funds.

By far the best way is to support the group by promoting and attending our shows. See the  What’s On page for details of our latest production.
