Latest News

We have now launched our campaign for our new home the Drama Studio. See our new fundraising page for news and events.

Our next show, for 27th/28th/29th May and 3rd/4th/5th June will be a selection of plays from The Art of Coarse Acting series by Michael Green. A Coarse Acting Show is a closely-observed imitation of stage disaster.

We have selected five prime examples of the best in Coarse Acting. Once again the Hartley Arts Group promises you an evening of great entertainment and acting (however coarse!)

The photographs above are from our most recent show Absurd Person Singular by Alan Ayckbourn.

If you, our HAG members, need to raise anything with the committee you can do so via our Member Liaison, Paola Burgess.

Also look on our News page for details of our January production, Absurd Person Singular, and our new pre-Theatre Dinner offer at Zut! in Hartley Wintney.

We have a patrons mailing list which you can sign up for here.  We also have a monthly newsletter which can be downloaded from the News page.

Next Production

May/June 2010

We intend to perform a selection of one-act plays from Michael Green’s Art of Coarse Acting series.

Stalag 69 A typical WWII German prisoner-of-war drama.

Oedocles, King of Thebes the spoof Greek tragedy.

Moby Dick is a rather over-ambitious attempt to reduce the epic novel into a series of quick-fire scenes.

The Cherry Sisters, a hitherto undiscovered fragment of Chekhov.

Cinderella the traditional panto as performed by many an amateur dramatics company.

See the Coarse! page for more on this great production.
